It was great to finally see the Brewhouse Gallery space in Taunton yesterday and take part in the Photography session.
I was also thrilled to see the image of one of the “States of wellbeing” in the Brewhouse Whats on magazine to advertise the exhibition.
I have just blogged onto the site relating to this exhibition “Mapping the Future ;Where are you now?” take a look at the other posts. here’s a copy of mine;-
Each miniature globe is derived from conversations about well being at a Health Centre, where patients mapped on a target how well they were feeling and chose types of material for the small circular elements that most represented their sense of wellbeing.

I have degrees in both Geography and Drawing and Applied Arts, all my work is mapping of one type or another using stitch or fibre as my main mark maker.
My work 2008 “States of Wellbeing” was the result of a residency as Artist in a Dr’s waiting room, recording patients’ feelings of well being by choices of types of paper, which they then folded origami style.
These were then constructed into a hanging globe representing the Healthcentre community in Bristol. See photo. Read more about art at the practice
